132M HC wrap-around labelling machine will be shown with an Allen-Bradley controller for the first time

German self-adhesive technology specialist HERMA will premiere the 132M HC wrap-around labelling machine that is fully equipped for serialisation tasks at the show. The serialisation equipment includes a Videojet printer and a Laetus camera system that monitors the print quality. This will be of interest for pharmaceutical companies and packaging specialists currently in search of a track & trace solution for pharmaceuticals, since serialisation is expected to become mandatory in the European Union in late 2017 or early 2018, the company said.

The 132M HC’s controller, which can be chosen according to customer preference, is another exhibition highlight: users now have a choice of Allen-Bradley and Siemens products.

The new labelling machine is suitable for applications that require high-performance wrap-around labelling. Thanks to its continuously rotating star wheel, up to 330 products per minute can be labelled. Featuring a compact, modular design based on standard components, the machine can be tailored precisely and economically to meet individual users’ needs. Economic efficiency is further enhanced by the ease of use, ergonomic design, short setup times, and simple format changes.
