As part of its 20th anniversary, CPhI Worldwide 2010 will have a new zoned layout. Six dedicated zones will bring businesses from a given sector of the pharmaceutical ingredients industry together in one area to raise the profile of that sector and showcase its distinct qualities. Visitors will benefit from more logical onsite navigation and from being able to spend more time talking and less time walking.
Colour coding and symbols will guide visitors to six key zones:
APIs - alkaloids, amino acids, antibodies, antibiotics, cytokines, enzymes, hormones & synthetic substances, peptides, phospholipids, prostaglandins, sera and vaccines;
Custom Manufacturing - API contract manufacturing, exclusive synthesis of APIs, contract manufacturing/exclusive synthesis of fine chemicals, contract manufacturing of dosage form drugs;
Intermediates - biocatalysts, chiral intermediates, intermediates, tissue culture medias;
Fine chemicals - advanced intermediates, regulated fine chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates;
Excipients - antimicrobial preservatives, antioxidants, capsules/encapsulation, coating agents, colour and dispersions, drug delivery systems, emulsifying/solubilising agents, flavours and perfumes, formulation development, glidants, microencapsulation, ointment bases, solvents, stiffening agents, suppository bases, suspending/viscosity increasing agents, sweetening agents, tablet binders, tablet disintegrants, tablet filler-binders, tablet lubricants, wetting/solubilising agents;
General - analytical services, biotechnology, chemical synthesis/analysis, contract research, custom manufacturing, diagnostics, immunochemistry, purification.
Again, the exhibition will be colocated with ICSE, the international contract services event, and P-MEC, which focuses on pharmaceutical processing and packaging machinery and equipment.
