Teva Pharmaceutical Industries has promoted Professor Itzhak Krinsky to chairman of Teva Japan and Teva South Korea and head of business development Asia-Pacific. He takes over mid-October and will be located in Tokyo.
Krinsky will replace Moshe Manor, president and chief executive of Teva Asia-Pacific, who has decided to retire. There will be a gradual transition period until the end of the year to ensure business continuity.
Teva said Manor had made a ‘tremendous contribution’ to the company over the past 28 years and leaves with the company’s best wishes for the future.
Krinsky’s former responsibilities as head of business development will become a part of the office of the ceo and remain a key focus for Teva.
Krinsky has been evp, corporate business development since May 2005. Prior to joining Teva, he was a managing director with Deutsche Bank (Bankers Trust), The Silverfern Group, and Trenwith Securities, which are all investment banks in New York.
Before this, he was a Professor of Finance & Business Economics, Michael G. DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University.
