The newest model in the ChargePoint PharmaSafe range of high containment valves has successfully achieved nanogram level performance. The PharmaSafe 'pro' is the latest iteration in the ChargePoint range of patented split valves, specifically developed to meet the demands for operator protection against increasingly potent ingredients.

The PharmaSafe pro has been put through its paces with a set of containment performance test carried out by an independent third party. The testing was completed in accordance to the industry standard ISPE SMEPAC Guide: 'Assessing the Particulate Containment Performance of Pharmaceutical Equipment’. The tests have proven the PharmaSafe pro to achieve up to 0.1µg/m3 for the task duration.

The PharmaSafe pro achieves this high level of performance by utilising a simple extraction process, which is integral to the valve, to minimise the volume of airborne contamination when the valve is separated, post transfer. The extraction system requirement is designed so that customers can commonly utilise existing onsite supply.

ChargePoint PharmaSafe patented split valve containment technology has become the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry standard for the contained transfer of toxic ingredients, by providing a common interface at each process stage.
