At POWTECH 2025, the German machine and plant manufacturer ystral presented its energy-, raw material- and process time-saving solutions for dispersing and mixing. The international trade fair POWTECH for technologies for processing powders, solids and liquids took place in Nuremberg from 23 to 25 September.
The machine and plant manufacturer ystral, based in Ballrechten-Dottingen in Germany, planned, designed and manufactured highly efficient mixing, dispersing and powder wetting machines as well as process systems. At POWTECH 2025, ystral presented its high-shear vacuum expansion technology for powder dispersion in Hall 9 / Stand 431. Moreover, ystral participated in the POWTECH STAGE TALKS with a presentation by Dr. Hans-Joachim Jacob, Senior Expert Process and Applications at ystral, on the topic of "Powder dispersion of the future in food production" on Wednesday, 24 September (2:30–3:00 p.m., language: English).
Savings of up to 20% on raw materials, up to 90% on process time, and on average 70% on energy
"In a world that was increasingly focused on sustainability, the efficient processing and, above all, optimum dispersion of powders played a crucial role," said Jacob. "Innovative technologies for the dispersion of powders in liquids offered enormous potential for rationalisation compared to traditional technologies – depending on the application, up to 20% of raw materials, up to 90% of process time and, on average, 70% of the energy previously required could be saved. At POWTECH, we wanted to show users why ystral's high-shear vacuum expansion technology was by far the most effective technology for processing powders in liquids."
YSTRAL Conti-TDS disperser presented
At POWTECH, ystral presented the YSTRAL Conti-TDS powder wetting and dispersing machine, which worked with high-shear vacuum expansion, in the two sizes Conti-TDS 2 and 3 as compact processing units with a transparent container, a jet stream mixer, a suction lance, and a control module. In addition, the mixing and dispersing technology specialist presented the newly developed continuous powder wetting and dispersing machine YSTRAL Coflow.
