UBM Live has announced a call for entries for its annual CPhI Pharma Awards which are open to exhibitors at CPhI Worldwide 2012 and co-located events ICSE, InnoPack and P-MEC Europe, to be held from 9–11 October at the Feria de Madrid in Spain.
The overall CPhI Pharma Award will feature gold, silver and bronze winners, while the two other awards categories, Best Sustainable Pharmaceutical Packaging and Best Sustainable Stand Design, will each feature one winner. The call for entries to all of the awards is now open and winners will be announced in Madrid on 9 October.
The awards will look at innovations in formulation, drug delivery, chemical manufacturing for APIs and intermediates, as well as biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The returning judging panel has been in place since 2007 and includes senior personnel from some of the industry’s leading pharma organisations, including CU Chemie Uetikon, Pliva, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (UK) Ltd, Merck KGaA and Saltigo GmbH. Further details about entering for the award are available in the exhibitor tool kit and the deadline for entries is 27 July 2012.
The Best Sustainable Pharmaceutical Packaging award will give six finalists the chance to present their product to a judging panel made up of UBM Live executives and media partners during the first day of the show. The award will recognise an exhibitor that offers a specific material, machine or supply chain that allows a pharmaceutical company to achieve a more sustainable package or process.
The Best Sustainable Stand Design is open to exhibitors who can demonstrate that they have incorporated sustainable elements into their stand to reduce the environmental impact. Eligible nominees are asked to describe how their stand touches upon the three pillars of sustainability: social responsibility, environmental and economic dimensions. Further details about entering for this award are available in the exhibitor manual and entries are due by 31 August 2012.
