Newman Labelling Systems, a leading supplier of specialist pharmaceutical labelling systems, has announced the launch of the CTE450, a new, high speed fully automatic carton labeller for tamper-evident, self-adhesive labels that also offers track and trace serialisation capability.
The CTE450 is designed for the pharmaceutical industry and can apply a wide range of self-adhesive, tamper-evident, anticounterfeit and hologram labels, all in a compact footprint for easy integration into existing packing lines. The design brief included the requirement for high levels of production efficiency, which will be a prerequisite for the introduction of track and trace systems.
With no need for change parts, the versatile CTE450 can handle a range of different cartons and operates at speeds of up to 400 cartons a minute. Its in-process control function enables the operator to effortlessly make production modifications as and when required.
The CTE450 is designed to accommodate a range of print and inspect systems, giving full compatibility with the track and trace requirements of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive and other global serialisation initiatives.
Another benefit is the CTE450’s low electrical consumption, making it energy efficient and cost-effective.
All Newman Labelling systems are compatible with the leading vision system equipment to accommodate the latest track and trace applications and are fully compliant with FDA’s cGMP requirements; they can be supplied with validation completed up to PQ.
