Staff at Almac’s headquarters in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, swapped their usual workwear for their jeans on Friday, 7 October, on Jeans for Genes Day.
By making a donation to the national charity, Jeans for Genes, staff are helping to fund research into a wide range of genetic disorders, which affect around one in 25 children born in the UK.
Almac is keen to support the charity’s work as its scientists are carrying out extensive genetic research into conditions, including cancer, to make significant advances in the field of personalised medicine.
