ACHEMA: Freeman Technology demonstrates a return on investment

Published: 2-Jun-2015

Will demonstrate the FT4 Powder Rheometer and distribute a booklet entitled The Value of Powder Testing

Freeman Technology, a powder characterisation specialist, will be exhibiting the FT4 Powder Rheometer, a universal powder tester, at Achema 2015 (Frankfurt, Germany; 15-19 June 2015), and will be distributing the recently released booklet The Value of Powder Testing.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss their individual powder processing challenges with the Freeman Technology team in Hall 4.2 Stand L36, where they will be able to see a demonstration of the FT4 Powder Rheometer and collect a copy of The Value of Powder Testing, the third in a series of educational guides on powder characterisation. The booklet evaluates the economic benefits that can be realised by incorporating relevant powder tests into an operation. It addresses key questions such as what makes powder test data valuable and how do powder testers deliver economic return. Using a series of case studies, the guide also illustrates ways in which powder testing can deliver value in specific applications.

In addition, the company will be hosting a presentation at 10.00am on the 17 June in the ‘Argument’ suite in Hall 3.C on the West Side of Messe Frankfurt, where experts in the field will discuss why powder flow is important, review traditional measurement techniques and explain how powder behaviour relates to in-process performance. The FT4 Powder Rheometer uses a patented dynamic methodology, automated shear cells and bulk property tests, including density, compressibility and permeability, to quantify powder properties in terms of flow and processability. It delivers data that maximise process and product understanding, accelerate R&D and formulation, and support process optimisation.
