Adrian Whitfield, Chief Executive of Synthomer has been elected as the new President of the UK chemical industry trade body, the Chemical Industries Association (CIA) with effect from 1 July.
CIA Chief Executive Steve Elliott commented: ‘Adrian Whitfield’s qualities and experience as leader of a business that operates across the globe will be of huge importance to the Association as we work with Government and others to provide ongoing support for growing the chemical industry in the UK.’
Whitfield said: ‘I am honoured and proud to be elected President of the Chemical Industries Association. The role that the chemical industry plays in underpinning economic growth is critical.’
