Installs Klockner EAS blister line to process thermoform and coldform materials

Almac, a provider of contract packaging to the global pharmaceutical and biotech industries, has added new blistering technology at its US commercial packaging facility in Audubon, PA.

The company has added a Klockner EAS blister line, which can produce a range of blister formats from both thermoform and coldform materials, to an array of clinical and commercial packaging capabilities of blistering, bottling, walleting and vial/ampoule labelling.

The new blister line provides simple solutions for packaging projects requiring low volume runs for evaluating combinations of materials and cost-effective stability packaging.

David Moore, Director of Operations at the Audubon facility, said: 'Almac is offering seamless services from clinical supply, packaging development/design and stability testing to final commercial pack from its two Pennsylvania sites. Clients can now easily transition from the clinical blister presentation though various development packs, with Almac providing all the associated stability services.'
