Almac appoints Dan Bayston VP of Small Molecule API

Dan has been a key member of the company’s global chemical development and scale-up team for the past 17 years

Almac Sciences has announced the appointment of Dan Bayston as VP of Small Molecule API.

His knowledge, technical background and delivery track record have driven innovation in the company’s service offering during this time and, in recent years, he has become increasingly involved in customer management, business performance assessment and business strategy.

Dr Stephen Barr, President & Managing Director, Almac Sciences, said: “Dan’s experience, credentials and working relationship with both his team, and the wider Business Unit, makes him a well-respected leader. This promotion is well deserved and I, and the rest of the Sciences’ Executive team, look forward to working with him in his new role.”

Prior to joining Almac in 2003, Dan completed a BSc at the University of Sheffield, a PhD at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) and held a Post-doctoral research position at the University of Oxford.

In addition, he has almost a decade of experience in various process development roles with a UK based chemical services company.
