Brazilian industry names ACG Films and Foils best supplier

Pharmaceuticals solutions provider has taken home the top SindusFarma Quality Supplier Award

ACG Films and Foils has been awarded one of the top SindusFarma Quality Supplier Award for preferred/best packaging solutions provider in the category of rigid films for blisters. In another forum, ACG Films and Foils was also recognised as a Preferred Supplier by United Laboratories (Unilab), Philippines, for the third time in a row.

The Sindusfarma Quality Award is the Brazilian pharmaceutical industry’s highest honour. This industrial association represents 85% of the country's pharmaceutical market and the award is presented to suppliers of packaging materials, raw materials, machines and equipment, appliances and to service providers.

ACG Films & Foils operations in Brazil expanded in 2017 with the acquisition of Nova Nordeplast offering the most diverse solutions in pharmaceutical packaging.

Headquartered in Mumbai, India, ACG Group has a plant in Cotia (Sao Paulo) where it manufactures packaging to meet the demand throughout Latin America.

The facility has proprietary technology to produce input not only for the Brazilian market but also for all Latin America.

ACG’s packaging solutions diversified portfolio includes a range of aluminium-based foils, films for special packaging, high barrier, and polymer films. All the equipment and products comply with the US FDA, European Pharmacopoeia, and CFDA rules.

Last February, the company launched its new capsules manufacturing plant in Pouso Alegre-Minas Gerais. The R$350 million (US$94m) investment, spans an area of 14,000 sqm and will generate around 500 new jobs locally.

Both ACG Films and Foils and the new ACG Capsule plant will offer unique and differentiated solutions with faster response times to customers in the region.
