Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has appointed an Account Manager for Ireland. Des McCarthy will support customers covering the breadth of process and measurement control applications.
His remit includes customer care and business development across Ireland with a particular emphasis on supporting and developing OEM business as well as delivering process control systems.
Bürkert aims to grow into several markets aided by the recent release of technologies such as the FLOwave surface acoustic wave flowmeter, and Des has been appointed to spearhead the company’s development in Ireland.
He has extensive knowledge of process control and instrumentation with five years at the Dublin headquarters of distributor Manotherm. Prior to joining Bürkert, Des was a sales engineer at Atlas Copco covering the Republic of Ireland across the company’s compressor technique and vacuum divisions.
