The renovated production plant in Fiorenzuola d'Arda opened its doors to encourage visitors to view the site and test FPS equipment

On Sunday, 24 November 2019, FPS took part in the initiative promoted by L'Economia, a section of the famous Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera, opening the doors of its renovated production plant in Fiorenzuola d'Arda to hundreds of visitors.

"Joining in with Open Factory was a special opportunity not only to spread FPS reality in the territory of Piacenza, but also to share the passion for our job with our friends and families," said Mr Giovanni Gianola, the FPS President. "We chose to have the participants accompanied by two superheroes: MicroGirl and IsolatorMan. This is because our superpowers and energy arise from our teamwork and passion."

The Fiorenzuola d’Arda headquarter welcomed about 200 curious visitors, before telling them the story of the company and its way of working in the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors.

The guided tours were useful to show the FPS proposals for the micronisation and containment systems.

At the end of the department's visit, all guests had the opportunity to use FPS equipment, simulating activities designed to demonstrate their purpose. One activity involved adults and children who were encourages to look for "gold nuggets" hidden inside an isolator and a mock-up.

"The participants were very impressed by the afternoon spent in FPS. They discovered the importance of a local company operating in an often unknown sector, which successfully does business all over the world", said Mr Carlo Corsini, the FPS Vice-President and technical director.
