The Aenova Group, a European manufacturer of medicines and dietary supplements, has appointed Dr Hans Engels as chief executive of Swiss Caps USA, its US division, as the firm expands its presence in the country.
Engels has worked in the pharmaceutical manufacturing service business for several years. He was previously president and ceo of DSM Pharmaceutical Inc.
Heiner Hoppmann, ceo of Aenova, said: ‘Dr Engels is an accomplished leader. He brings a great mix of leadership, operational experience, technical breadth, and passion for customer care. We are persuaded that this perfectly fits to the company’s long range business development.’
Engels will run the business at Aenova’s US site in Miami, which is one of the Group’s production facilities for soft gelatine capsules.
Hoppmann added that Engels’ focus on contract manufacturing for pharmaceutical solid and sterile formulations would be a great addition to Aenova.
The Aenova Group, which has its headquarters in Pähl, Germany, offers a complete portfolio of services, ranging from development, procurement of raw materials, production and analysis through to packaging and logistics.
