US-based flexible containment systems provider ILC Dover has developed a new pharmaceutical product contact film.

The film ArmorFlex 110 (AF110) delivers permanent static dissipative properties while meeting US FDA requirements for food contact and European Pharmacopoeia protocols.

AF 110 is the culmination of work by the company to eliminate the shortcomings associated with traditional static dissipative films. The robust film is available for use in DoverPacs, Continuous Liners, and drum liners designed and manufactured by ILC Dover.

"As the pioneer of flexible containment solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, we are continually listening to customers in an effort to address emerging needs," said Alan George, ILC Dover's product manager for Pharmaceutical Products. "The development of ArmorFlex 110 reflects a convergence of customer needs and changing regulations, and we are pleased to be able to offer this advancement to our customers. This is just another example of how we have been serving our industry over the past 12 years."
