MAUSER invests in three new production lines at its well-established French site of St Priest

MAUSER Group, a worldwide leading company in industrial packaging based in Bruehl, Germany, announces the start-up of three new production lines in St Priest, France, in 2017

To respond to the growing demand for industrial packaging solutions in the Rhône Valley and the South of France, MAUSER will install a new production line for IBCs and a new reconditioning unit together with its subsidiary National Container Group (NCG) in January 2017.

During the second half of 2017, a production line for plastic drums (with up to 220L filling volume) will be added. 'The St Priest location near Lyon will then form another of MAUSER’s multiproduct plants including a reconditioning service,' explains Dr Jürgen Scherer, Head of the MAUSER SBU Europe.

By establishing three new production lines in France, MAUSER is further pursuing its goal to be closer to its customers. Moreover, the company is able to reduce its logistic impact on the environment and can provide local services for the handling of industrial packaging – from production to recollection, reuse and recycling following the ECO-CYCLE approach.

'MAUSER has a longstanding history of successful services and product offerings in France and in St Priest specifically. Since 1968, MAUSER’s St Priest plant has been producing steel drums for the chemical, petrochemical, agrochemical and the food industry,' outlines José DaFonseca, who oversees the sales activities for MAUSER in France and further countries in Southern Europe.

In total, MAUSER is servicing its customers in France out of four production locations, covering the entire country.

As Frédéric Binard, Head of Operations for Southern Europe, explains: 'Our plant in Esches in the North of France is dedicated to plastic packaging and composite IBCs. MAUSER’s existing plant in Creil close to Paris specialises in the production of large steel drums. Also in Northern France, our reconditioning plant in Saint Amand les Eaux (belonging to MAUSER’s subsidiary NCG) focuses on sustainability oriented services and allows us to offer comprehensive solutions to our customers in France.'
