Mauser Group, an industrial packaging specialist headquartered near Cologne in Germany, has developed a new plastic tight head drum for the healthcare industry and similar highly regulated sectors.
The new L-Ring H-Care drum is the first industrial plastic packaging to come out of an agreement between Mauser and Netherlands-based petrochemical company SABIC to develop a new HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) material for large blow-moulded packaging solutions in the healthcare market. This material provides full EU and US pharmacopoeia compliance for large blow moulding applications.
‘With our new L-Ring H-Care drum, we are able to offer a particularly reliable packaging solution for customers with very high regulatory requirements, such as in the food or healthcare industry. The H-Care drum is our first product launch making use of this new HDPE developed by SABIC.’
The L-Ring H-Care drum is UN-approved for transportation of dangerous goods. It comes with full global and specific migration testing required for EU and US food contact compliance and is produced under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. For optimum traceability and transport cleanliness each drum is marked individually and packed into a PE-bag.
