Global contract manufacturing organisation, Orion Contract Manufacturing, has signed a commercial supply agreement with Peptonic Medical for the manufacture and packaging of its patented product, VagiVital.
The OTC product is used to treat vaginal atrophy and dryness and is due to launch later this year.
Following the successful transfer of the product’s manufacturing technology, Orion Contract Manufacturing, based in Espoo, Finland, will be responsible for the launch and ongoing supply of the product to multiple markets.
Esa Nauska, head of Orion Contract Manufacturing, said: “We have more than a decade of experience working with gels and solutions similar to VagiVital. Our knowledge of manufacturing semi-solid products of this nature made us an ideal candidate for this project.”
