Automated testing system for laminate and plastic tubes

At interpack 2011 Cerulean Packing, of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK, is launching the Q-Test tube testing machine, a fully automated testing system for laminate and plastic tubes.

Combining efficiency, security and reliability, the Q-Test is suitable for manufacturers in the medical, personal care and consumer food product industries where high-quality packaging is essential.

Whether making leak, burst, torque or side-seam measurements, the Q-Test performs them all automatically, providing accuracy and repeatability, as well as a full history of quantifiable results that can be used to help improve product quality.

Q-Test can be supplied as two separate measurement systems: Q-Test 1 comes as standard for leak, burst and torque measurements; Q-Test 2 uses laser and vision technology to measure length, diameter, ovality and side seam compression and overlap.

Cerulean, part of Molins plc and sister company of Langen Packaging, says the Q-Test will be exhibited on the Langen Packaging Stand in Hall 6, Stand C43.
