UK-based contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) SCM Pharma has strengthened its commercial management team with the appointment of an experienced new director.
Simon Bellamy joins the sterile manufacturing specialist as Business Development Director and will be primarily responsible for bringing in new clinical trials business as well as looking for small commercial opportunities for the company’s new £6m ($10m) facility in Newburn, Tyne-and-Wear.
He brings 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry to the firm; his most recent business development roles were at Catalent Pharma Solutions and Piramal Healthcare.
