International Laboratory Services is an independent laboratory situated in Shardlow, Derbyshire, UK. We are a busy, modern facility catering for a varied and wide client base. Quality Assurance Auditor (Ref 2162)

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Auditor to join our professional QA Team. Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor you will assist in maintaining the Management Systems ensuring that they meet the requirements of UKAS, ISO/IEC 17025 and the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Duties of this role will include:

  • To assist with planning, conducting, recording and review of routine and special purpose internal audits covering all areas of the Management System ensuring that these meet the requirements of UKAS and ISO/IEC 17025 and GMP where applicable.
  • To report immediately to the Quality Supervisor and appropriate departmental management any significant deviation from proper standards.
  • To control, in consultation with the Quality Supervisor, the distribution of Standard Test Methods, Operating Procedures and other controlled documents.
  • To maintain records of document control and advise authors when documents are due for review.
  • To assist with the administration and performance of the internal calibration programme.
  • To assist with the proof reading of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Microbiology reports not generated by LIMS ensuring accuracy of content.
  • To assist with the handling of external client and regulatory audits and with the preparation of the company’s response to any observations made during these audits.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in preparation for audit by MHRA and FDA and UKAS regulatory bodies. You will have strong experience in GMP gained by working in the pharmaceutical and/or food safety testing industry. You will hold a BSc in Chemistry/Microbiology/Life Science and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
