Diversified technology company 3M returns as title sponsor to the UK's nationwide Health & Safety Event programme this year, acting as a central hub of knowledge, collaboration and experience for its largest attendance yet.
In response to demand, the event series has for the first time combined regional Health & Safety exhibitions and conferences into one main event held at the NEC in Birmingham from 11-13 March, followed by an event at Bolton in October. The Personal Safety Division of 3M has played a key role in these industry leading events as a result of its holistic approach to health and safety and capability to partner customers through the complete journey of providing support and guidance, to selecting and purchasing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE).
Attendees will never be far from 3M expertise at the show as it will provide a technical presentation on each of the three days at the conference, participate in three roundtable debates each day known as the Safety Dialogue, as well as a large interactive stand where visitors can get a feel for the 3M experience.
The stand will be split into four key hazard areas: dust, chemicals, light and noise. Focuses include respiratory face fit testing, protective coveralls, and E-A-Rfit Validation for the best-selling E-A-R brand Classic Earplugs by 3M.
The three daily roundtable sessions will focus on ‘Noise Induced Hearing Loss’, ‘Behavioural Safety Techniques’, and ‘Can RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment) selection be simplified?’ The order of the debates will alternate between days.
Other features of 3M presence at the show include a dedicated area on the stand for visitors to speak to the team, live product demonstrations and a competition to win an entire wall of 3M goodies worth £2,500. This will all be supported by a live ‘Q&A’ tweet wall for people to get involved socially.
Jenn Raymond from the Personal Safety Division of 3M says: 'We are very much looking forward to partnering the Health & Safety Event again, especially in a year where the event is bigger and better than ever. Our involvement in the seminars and conferences is designed to enable visitors to go away from the event better prepared to make the right decisions for their organisations.'
