Newcells Biotech, a drug discovery partner specialising in the development of in vitro models and assay services, has appointed Emile Shaffu as its Director of Sales.
With more than 20 years of sales and management experience across the globe in the life sciences, his appointment will aim to strengthen Newcells’ position across key global markets.
Emile joins the Newcells teams following a number of recent appointments to the executive and US commercial teams, with the overarching aim being to expand the company’s global footprint and ability to produce novel technologies.
The role
In his new role, Emile will champion the international sales strategy, while providing support to the company’s global network with a focus on customer service.
Shaffu has a wealth of experience in the industry, including molecular biology and genomic technologies, and has consistently managed to develop successful sales strategies in his prior roles.
Most recently as the UK Regional Business Manager at Bionano Genomics, he spearheaded the successful introduction of the company’s genome mapping technique to the UK market.
Emile has also worked for CRISPR/RNAi drug discovery company Horizon Discovery (now Revvity) and epigenetics company Diagenode.
