The company premiered analytical solutions for the pharmaceutical, clinical and environmental sectors

Shimadzu, a global company specialising in instrumental analysis, presented a wide range of innovative solutions and new products for the analytical laboratory at Analytica in Munich. 

Shimadzu exhibited products specifically for the pharmaceutical, environmental and clinical analysis sectors on over 190 square meters. There were a range of product premieres at this event.

Whether it was high-precision hardware or intuitive software, Shimadzu showcased solutions for industry and science that provide users with optimal support, whilst taking current challenges into account, such as staff shortages, sustainability requirements and space requirements.

Numerous innovations from the fields of GC, ICPMS, microscopy and spectroscopy were on display, including a European and world premiere. 

Highlights included the new Brevis GC-2050 gas chromatograph and the AIMsight infrared microscope.

The Brevis GC-2050 requires little space without compromising on analytical performance. It uses different carrier gases and can be flexibly expanded. Operation via app saves resources and offers more flexibility and control.

The new AIMsight infrared microscope simplifies laboratory workflows thanks to maximised automation and also meets the latest requirements of environmental legislation. It assists the industry in its efforts to measure and reduce harmful contaminants such as microplastics.
