Aesica, a leading supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients has officially opened its new pilot plant at Cramlington in the UK.


Aesica, a leading supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients has officially opened its new pilot plant at Cramlington in the UK.

The cGMP plant will enable Aesica to manufacture and supply small-scale quantities of clinical compounds (10kg to 100kg) for use in clinical development programmes. It will also provide the company with important process information and experience that can be used to design more efficient and productive manufacturing processes for full-scale commercial operations.

Aesica already owns five computer-controlled multi-product plants with extensive chemical processing capabilities at its Cramlington and Ponders End sites.
