The CDMO is integrating the facility into its MasterControl QMS network, adding serialisation-ready packaging lines and expanded GMP temperature-controlled storage, with a new high-speed bottle line live in H1 2027

The CDMO Alcami Corporation (Alcami) has announced a series of strategic and operational investments at its Tennessee facility, which was recently added to the company’s network through its acquisition of Tjoapack.

Alcami will be integrating the Tennessee site into its enterprise-wide Quality Management System (QMS), which it says will "strengthen operational consistency and quality."

The site will implement MasterControl, the digital QMS platform already deployed across Alcami's US network, allowing for greater standardisation, improved compliance and enhanced visibility across operations.

In addition to infrastructure and systems, the company is restructuring its Quality and Operations teams to better align with current and future customer needs, ensuring the right capabilities and capacity are in place to support continued growth.

Alcami also announced that several of its packaging lines will be upgraded with increased line speeds, new equipment and the introduction of serialisation capabilities.

The firm will also invest in a new high-speed bottle packaging line, which is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027.

Alcami will integrate its Tennessee facility into its larger GMP storage network to expand temperature-controlled capacity across the US.

This expansion includes high-density storage, upgraded warehousing infrastructure and enhanced redundancy, which the CDMO said would be aimed at improving operational efficiency, supply continuity and product protection while supporting future growth.

"By strengthening our Tennessee site across storage, packaging, quality systems and team structure, we are enhancing our ability to integrate solutions and support customers with greater flexibility and reliability,” said Patrick Walsh, Interim CEO & Board Chair, Alcami.

Together, these improvements will enhance operational efficiency, flexibility, continuity of supply and product protection, allowing Alcami to sustain our quality levels as we service growing customer demand.
