Almac Group launches next generation temperature management software

Published: 31-Jan-2017

The new software is a web-based platform providing a single database to store temperature data throughout the entire supply chain

Contract pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organisation Almac has launched TempEZ temperature management software.

The Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant design enables use of any monitor and logistics provider for managing transportation of their product to its final destination.

TempEZ provides readily accessible data throughout the entire supply chain. It gives any stakeholder the ability to upload, resulting in a single repository of temperature data. This builds a complete temperature history for a product at both lot and serialised level.

Clients can also benefit from additional supporting Temperature Management services; Almac’s Temperature Management team perform compliance, excursion adjudication and life cycle management services.

The team interpret the data and assist clients to develop bespoke solutions to improve their internal business processes and vendor performance.

“TempEZ provides a single platform to document that a product has stayed within it labelled specification throughout its life cycle, helping you to protect the safety of your patient,” said Donna Christopher, Global Vice President Operations, Almac Clinical Services.

Christopher explains that, in the current data model, clients have difficulty accessing and analysing data to determine the impact of individual excursions occurring throughout the life cycle on the overall integrity of the product.

““Almac’s TempEZ is the only software platform available on the market that offers clients a tailored, fully adaptable and GDP compliant solution providing a complete, end-to-end temperature history of their drug product,” Christopher claims.

Almac’s Supply Chain Solutions Manager, Heather Bogle, will be demonstrating TempEZ at IQPC’s 16th Annual Cool Chain Temperature Controlled Logistics Europe event, 30 Jan – 2 Feb.
