AMS Biotechnology, a UK provider of products for life sciences research, is offering a new portfolio of rabbit monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies for Immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications. A rabbit custom antibody service is also available.
The Abingdon-based firm says antibodies produced by rabbits often provide superior antigen recognition, greater specificity and better consistency than those offered by mice. They often can recognise certain antigens and epitopes that are not immunogenic in mice or rats and sometimes also offer higher working titres and therefore help to lower laboratory costs.
Rabbit monoclonal antibodies (RMAbs) technology also give researchers critical information about the distribution and localisation of biomarkers, and differentially expressed proteins in different parts of a biological tissue.
AMSBIO offers more than 3,500 antibodies for IHC, including rabbit monoclonal, polyclonal and mouse monoclonal antibodies. Antibodies that have been characterised to work on FFPE sections and are renowned for their robust, highly sensitive and specific characteristics are also included.
