Anthony McKeever becomes ceo of MedeAnalytics International

Former chief executive within UK NHS to lead growth

MedeAnalytics, a Californian provider of healthcare performance management solutions, has appointed Anthony (Mac) McKeever as chief executive of MedeAnalytics International based in London, UK. He will spearhead the company’s continued growth, promoting the Clinical Commissioner and FT Navigator solutions in the UK market.

McKeever started his career in the UK’s Department of Health, where he progressed to become secretary to the NHS Management Board and private secretary to Sir Len Peach, the first chief executive of the NHS. After 12 years in the Civil Service, he left to take up a board job at Mersey Regional Health Authority, where he later served as district general manager in Crewe.

In 1993, McKeever joined the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, where he spent several years as the Trust's chief executive. He took over as chief executive of Warwickshire at the end of 1998, where he established the Health Authority in its new strategic commissioning role.

In August 2000, McKeever left the NHS to set up his own consultancy business. The business grew rapidly on the back of a series of turnaround projects in both commissioning and provider trusts, including West Herts, Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals, and Surrey & Sussex Healthcare.

Most recently, McKeever was chief executive of Bexley Care Trust.
