BioClinica software offers better sponsor control over trial timelines
Programme has potential to change the way sponsors and CROs use technology to run clinical trials
BioClinica, a provider of clinical trial management services, has made available BioClinica Express EDCplus – a web-based programme that enables sponsors and CRO personnel to directly build their own Express EDC (electronic data capture) studies.
Designed to help organisations exert greater control over the development and implementation timelines of the technology they use to support their clinical trials, Express EDCplus had input from customers and data managers to ensure non-technical research staff would be able to create and run studies easily.
The product has the potential to change the way sponsors and CROs use technology to run clinical trials, said Peter Benton, eClinical President of BioClinica.
‘Express EDCplus lets designers take their trials from test to live in seconds with just one click and allows for easy, inexpensive mid-study changes. Our study builder tool enables complex scenarios such as risk-based monitoring schedules, automated design validation rules that reduce the effort required to manage quality, and provides extensive support for corporate or industry standard design libraries.’
