The Total Processing & Packaging exhibition 2013, held in June at the NEC, Birmingham, UK was a great success for process specialist Bürkert, with the sales team seeing a large number of industry professionals attending the stand with specific inquiries.
With more than 200 product or complete solution inquiries from industry-leading companies, including Kraft Foods, PepsiCo and AstraZeneca, Bürkert is confident that the mix of innovative process valves, process control equipment and sensor solutions it had on show at the exhibition was the right one to generate interest; especially for process engineers, designers and maintenance professionals looking for specific process solutions.
The Bürkert stand was carefully designed so as not to overwhelm visitors with the vast range of products available; rather it concentrated on areas of innovation, especially in the pharmaceutical industry. This 'less is more' concept paid off with the stand designed to allow visitors to interact with working examples of the latest process valve and control technology, as well as using touchscreen stations to find more information for themselves.
‘Even before the event, there were a large number of people looking forward to visiting us, and throughout the exhibition the quality of the visitors was exceptional,’ said Helen Christopher, Bürkert's UK Marketing Manager. ‘We have spoken with a number of people who expressed serious interest in our ability to develop customised solutions for fluid control systems.
‘In such an enormous venue it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd but we seem to have achieved that both in terms of our stand presence and innovative solutions on show. It was also great to see our existing clients: even customers who know us well got to see something different or perhaps didn't realise the scope of our supply or capabilities with projects and added value services like the training, design, panel building, servicing etc.’
The winner of the popular F1 car simulator competition to win an iPad was Mark Evans, Production Planning & Outsource Manager from ARRK Europe.
