The Catalent Applied Drug Delivery Institute is sponsoring the second annual Global Academic Competition for Life Science Leaders of Tomorrow, which aims to encourage interest in and knowledge of applied drug delivery technologies.
The competition is open to university students enrolled in graduate programmes in pharmaceutical science, industrial pharmacy, drug delivery and drug development.
The Institute is partnering top pharmacy schools around the world, including Purdue University, St. John’s University, Rutgers University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Düsseldorf, Germany, and the University of Bristol, UK, in search of scientific talent.
Entries from students enrolled at these and other universities are encouraged before the deadline of 22 February 2013. They should take the form of an original review article based on topics such as drug development, delivery technologies, improving therapeutic profiles and bioavailability, pre-formulation, or on the delivery of drugs to certain patient groups such as paediatrics.
One grand prize winner will receive $5,000 and the opportunity for an internship with Catalent Pharma Solutions.
Details of the competition, including categories, entry forms and additional information, can be found at www.drugdeliveryinstitute.com.
