Celerion establishes an operation in Singapore

To be headed by Chew Lan Chong as Executive Director, Medical Research

Celerion has opened an office in Singapore, which will be headed by Dr Chew Lan Chong as Executive Director, Medical Research.

Chong brings 10 years of operational experience leading clinical pharmacology units to the company.

The moves follows Celerion’s expansion into South Korea, where it has opened clinical operations at Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) Clinical Trial Centre, and has formed a collaboration with the Korean Drug Development Fund (KDDF).

The expansion to Singapore and South Korea enables Celerion to provide access for clients to perform early clinical research studies in Asian patients and healthy participants.

Chong will lead Celerion’s business operations in Singapore, provide medical and scientific expertise and collaborate with partner early clinical research units to conduct complex early clinical pharmacology studies to the highest global standards.

She brings to Celerion a wealth of operational experience, having conducted over 130 early clinical studies at organisations including Pfizer and Lilly in Singapore.
