Cellectis bioresearch sets up US subsidiary
Expands presence in North American life sciences market
Cellectis bioresearch, a French specialist in genome customisation and a subsidiary of Cellectis, has taken a foothold in the North American market by setting up a US subsidiary, Cellectis bioresearch Inc, at the Cambridge Innovation Centre in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The new company will handle the US-wide promotion of Cellectis bioresearch products and services.
Cellectis bioresearch offers more than 100 product references for genome customisation, including its cellular Genome Positioning System (cGPS) and cGPS Custom targeted integration kits, for the engineering of cell lines for drug discovery, protein production and gene function studies.
Eric Merle takes up the position of sales director US, reporting to Luc Selig, vp of sales and marketing at Cellectis bioresearch. He will recruit and manage a dedicated team, covering the entire US market.
‘The opening of our American subsidiary will provide us with a presence in the largest global life science market and allow us to be closer to our clients better to meet their needs,’ said Selig.
The move comes shortly after Cellectis bioresearch signed a partnership with the Canadian life science products distributor Cedarlane Inc.
