CMC Biologics has hired Mark Sawicki as vice president of global business development. He will focus on business development, sales management, and the integration and alignment of the contract manufacturing organisation’s global sales and marketing team.
Sawicki brings 10 years of business development and sales management experience to the firm. Prior to joining CMC Biologics, Sawicki was vice president, Business Development - Europe at Albany Molecular Research, Inc (AMRI).
The firm has also hired Patricio Massera as general manager of its Copenhagen facility in Denmark. He will manage the site operations of the contract manufacturing organisation’s commercial manufacturing facility, including research and development, manufacturing, quality operations, and supply chain management.
Massera brings more than 15 years of senior biopharmaceutical industry expertise in manufacturing of biological processes, GMP process and quality systems auditing and validation, and strategic and financial planning to the firm.
