Lodige, German supplier of machines and systems for mixing, granulating, coating and drying, will present its new LC series of coaters at Interpack 2017.
The company is also working on small-scale production advances: the lab model, LC Lab, is for micro-batches. It is of modular design, enabling it to be assembled according to specific requirements.
The machine features an FDA-compliant body material with a nozzle arm, developed together with Düsen-Schlick. This permits perfect adjustment of the nozzle position to the tablet bed.
The air unit uses a fully perforated drum with a free surface of more than 40%, enabling improved high air throughput. Batch sizes are variable due to a divisible drum.
Efficient mixing elements permit uniform and gentle mixing of tablets at variable filling levels of 30–100%. The drying airflow is aimed at the tablet bed to ensure fast drying of the moist surfaces.
The LC coater series is designed for convenient feeding, emptying and maintenance. High-containment solutions and cleaning systems are also available.
In addition to drum coaters, Lodige offers further coating solutions for a number of different industries, depending on the area of application. Fluid bed processors of the LFP series are available for complex applications.
Lodige Ploughshare mixers are an alternative choice for coating tasks in the food industry.
Full regard was paid to the current GMP Directives for the LC series.
