Colour-coded caps for lab applications

A range of chemically inert bottle caps available from UK company Omnifit, of Cambridge, is suitable for a wide range of laboratory applications. The bottle caps are available in standard GL45 and GL32 thread sizes, with other sizes on request, and come in three basic designs.

For applications where a variety of tubing sizes or types are connected to a single cap, the dual connection design features a colour-coded cap connector system to aid identification. Where space is limited, the low profile design is supplied fitted with a 1m length of tubing already connected to the cap, allowing for a lower profile. Finally, the 'no-twist' design has a central PTFE block into which tubing lines are connected. This block rotates independently, allowing the cap to be screwed onto the bottle without twisting the tube lines.

The caps are made from PTFE and are thus suitable for use with aggressive CIP solutions.
