Life sciences testing and consulting firm Cormica has completed the acquisition of German lab service provider, Zwisler Laboratorium.
This will facilitate Cormica's break into the key German market, while also extending its European footprint.
Zwisler currently provides services to the pharmaceutical, biotech, packaging and medical device industries across Europe — specialising in validation, microbiological integrity and in-vitro pyrogen testing, as well as environmental monitoring and consulting.
Through this acquisition, Cormica will be able to offer more comprehensive bespoke consulting services to its clients, helping them to meet global regulatory requirements.
The company will also have access to Zwisler's portfolio of next-generation in-vitro testing options, which will reduce the reliance on in-vivo methods.
Cormica currently operates a number of laboratory facilities in the UK and the US, which offer a range of testing services for medical devices and pharmaceutical products.
