Diba Industries, based in Danbury, Connecticut, has acquired the Omnifit brand of products from sister company Bio-Chem Fluidics. Both firms are part of the multinational Halma technology group.
The Omnifit portfolio includes fittings and connectors, bottle caps and chromatography columns that are a natural fit with Diba's fluid handling products used in in vitro diagnostic, medical, and scientific equipment.
Diba technology includes flared tubing assemblies, lined or coated aspirate dispense probes with level sensing, in-line heaters, and custom caps for reagent and waste bottles. The company also offers fluid system development, prototypes, preventive maintenance kits, and custom extrusion services.
Diba and Omnifit products are used in applications including chromatography, chemical research, biotechnology, haematology and other in vitro analysis, pharmaceutical analytical research, industrial quality testing, printing and water/environmental monitoring.
"We work closely with our customers and vendors using both Diba proprietary technologies, like our Click-N-Seal torque limiting fittings, and industry proven parts to design, manufacture, and deliver optimal fluid path assemblies and products for each application," said Diba president Todd Burt. "The Omnifit acquisition gives us better access to components which have a strong reputation in the marketplace for their versatility, chemical resistance and ease-of-use."
Omnifit, based in Cambrudge, UK, will become Diba Industries Ltd, a subsidiary of Diba Industries Inc, while the products will retain the Omnifit brand name.
