Domino Printing Sciences is today celebrating success having scooped the title of ‘Most Innovative Processing or Packaging machine’ for its SerialTrac intelligent serialisation and compliance solution at this year’s PPMA Group Industry Awards 2016.
The annual awards event was held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, UK, on the first night of the PPMA Total Show.
Judges for the ‘Most Innovative Processing or Packaging Machine’ category were looking for creative solutions that deliver dramatic productivity improvements and awarded Domino’s SerialTrac solution first place over 12 other finalists.
Says Jim Orford, Commercial Programme Manager at Domino Printing Sciences: 'Serialisation has been identified as a key tool in the fight against falsified and counterfeit medicines and with SerialTrac, manufacturers can now benefit from a flexible, cost effective turnkey solution that delivers best practice compliance with both existing and emerging regulations.'
'We are immensely proud that our work in the development of the SerialTrac solution, which combines Domino’s years of experience in product serialisation across multiple industries with our extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector, has been recognised by the judges to win this prestigious award,' he added.
'The SerialTrac solution has been developed by a consortium of serialisation and industry experts and gives established local vision integrators the capability to offer a standardised ‘compliance in a box serialisation’ solution for small and niche manufacturers that need to comply with the requirements of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive.'
Domino Printing Sciences has partnered with systems integrators Olmec UK to manage the integration of the SerialTrac serialisation solution at customer premises, with hosting and support provided by Blue Infinity.
