dsm-firmenich has launched its new portfolio of pharmaceutical-grade vitamins, Biond, aimed at biopharmaceutical applications.
The company will unveil the portfolio at this year's CPHI show in Milan, at Hall 1, Stand 1B26.
The range is specifically designed to support cell culture media and biologics manufacturing, where healthy, productive cells rely on vitamins for critical metabolic pathways that drive cell growth, viability and protein expression.
dsm-firmenich said the new portfolio of pharma-grade vitamins would help biopharma companies optimise their cell culture performance, improve process consistency and maximise productivity throughout development and commercial manufacturing.
Brenntag Pharma distribution partnership
dsm-firmenich also announced a partnership with the distributor Brenntag, with the new Biond offering available globally through Brenntag’s biopharma product portfolio, BYPHAR.
It said the BYPHAR portal will give customers access to detailed product information, sample requests and technical support through a trusted global biopharma distribution network.
"In biologics manufacturing, the performance of every raw material matters,” said Fernanda Onofre, Director, Global Marketing and Business Development — Pharma Biologics Solutions, dsm-firmenich.
"Vitamins are essential to healthy cell growth and productivity, so manufacturers need confidence in their purity, quality and consistency."
With Biond, we’re bringing our pharmaceutical experience directly to biologics manufacturers, backed by our trusted partnership with Brenntag Pharma and its established biopharma distribution network.
"Together, we’re giving customers worldwide the quality, expertise and support they need today, with a strong foundation for long-term success as biopharma continues to evolve."
