The UK’s largest annual exhibition for the whole lab industry — Lab Innovations — has opened its visitor registrations for this year’s event.
It will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, from October 30–31, and will feature more than 200 exhibitors.
The event will feature a number of talks and activities, while also allowing attendees to network with the industry professionals.
Last year, a range of big names in the industry attended, such as AstraZeneca, UKRI and Unilever.
The event will also host a brand new event: the Quality Infrastructure Forum.
Hosted by some big names in the laboratory accreditation industry, the forum will allow industry professionals to get more familiar with lab accreditations, technical assessments, quality control and the use of AI in the laboratory.
There will be four conference theatres offering a range of lectures throughout the two day event, which all relate to innovations currently being seen in the laboratory.
Sustainability will also be a core focus at Lab Innovations 2024, with ‘The Sustainable Lab’ segment of the event highlighting easy ways in which laboratory professionals can secure the sustainability of the industry.
The trade show will also focus on automation, data and AI, accreditation, regulation and legislation, cost management and technical product advice.
At last year’s show, Martin Reid-Thomas quality control Manager at LumiraDx commented: “Working in quality control, I think it is important to stay up to date with the latest techniques and equipment that can help improve outcomes in a lab. Coming to Lab Innovations really helps me do that as it is the best place to see all the latest innovations from the lab industry in one place and hear from some of the industry’s leading experts.”
