EMA releases new heart attack medicine guidance

Major developments have taken place since the last guidance was issued in 2000 and 2003


Revised draft guidance on the assessment of medicines designed to treat heart attacks has been released by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

The Agency said since its last guidance in 2000 and 2003, 'major developments have taken place in the definitions, diagnosis, interventions and management of acute coronary syndrome'.
