etherna, a company specialising in developing mRNA technologies, has announced the appointment of Shelly West as its Business Development Director, US, Manufacturing Services.
She joins as the Company gains increasing traction among US pharma and biopharma companies for its proprietary, end-to-end capabilities to design, develop, manufacture and formulate next-generation mRNA products.
Shelly arrives from Cellpoint Biosciences, the Houston-based cell therapy CDMO where she was Senior Director, Business Development, having previously held senior roles at Recipharm, MaxCyte and Synthego.
Shelly commented: “RNA therapeutics are among the most exciting areas currently in life sciences and I am delighted to get back into this space. I look forward to expanding etherna’s US customer base with its innovative enabling technologies such as proprietary UTRs, codon optimisation and process improvements that tackle the current challenges in the development of mRNA therapeutics.”
