Formulated Solutions has added a third aerosol production line to its Cleveland, Ohio facility.
The CDMO's new GMP line will prepare the company for the increase in customer demand for aerosol-based drug product packaging.
It is fully automated from filling through to final case packing, utilising a mass flow filler to deliver exceptional fill accuracy, automated leak detection and automated secondary bundling to support distributors.
This is Formulated Solutions' third production line, which allows the company to produce medicated topical aerosols.
The novel line facilitates the filling of two different bulk intermediates sequentially, while also allowing two different propellant blends to be incorporated into the same finished product.
Key features of the expansion include:
- Automated button and actuator tipping
- Overcap and tamper-evident neck band placement capabilities
- Fully integrated automated case packing
- Advanced leak detection
- Optical character recognition verification for suppy chain tracking and inventory management
