Plate heat exchanger specialist GEA Ecoflex is exhibiting several new developments.
Two smaller gasketed plate heat exchangers are being added to the established NT Series. The NT 50 and NT 100 are particularly suited for volume flows of between 10 and 200m3/h. A special feature is the optimised plate design, which requires less heat transfer area for the same performance and results in a lasting reduction in investment costs, the company says.
The NF 350 free-flow unit will also be shown for the first time. Free-flow plate heat exchangers are more efficient than other heat exchanger systems used for media such as bare tube, or spiral heat exchangers, and are the preferred heat exchanger in the bioethanol industry, according to GEA Ecoflex.
The EcoShell is an exceptionally resilient fully welded plate heat exchanger. extreme temperatures of between -200°C and +950°C, with high operating pressures of up to 100 bar, can be met thanks to its special design and sturdiness. Each EcoShell is designed and manufactured according to the needs of the customer.
The EcoBloc is a compact and flexible fully welded plate heat exchanger. With access from both media sides it offers particularly easy cleaning and maintenance.
The EcoBrid is manufactured to customer specifi-cations and can be installed with a heating surface of up to 8000m2. Its asymmetrical plate design makes it a preferred choice in the treatment of two-phase material flows. It is suitable for gaseous, liquid and two-phase media.
The EVAPplus is a special version of the EcoBrid. This falling-film evaporator is used particularly for temperature-sensitive products. Its low weight combined with reduced space requirements open up new possibilities for designers and plant operators. .
