The Morrisville, Pennsylvania, US-based firm has also appointed Barbara Tsuie, as product manager, silanes and metal-organics. Both report to Joel Zazyczny, vice president, silanes, silicones and metal-organics.
Kimble takes responsibility for the development of new business for Gelest’s polymeric materials. He joined the firm in 1998, rising to applications and polymer development manager in 2004. In this position, he headed Gelest’s silicone r&d group, working to develop new siloxane-based polymers, until he took his current position.
As product manager, silanes and metal-organics, Tsuie is responsible for developing new business for Gelest’s functional and non-functional alkyl silane compounds and for the greatly expanded range of metal-organic compounds for materials, polymers and synthesis.
Barbara Tsuie
Tsuie joined Gelest after 10 years at Equistar Chemicals (now LyondellBasell) in Cincinnati, Ohio. She worked primarily on catalyst synthesis and olefin polymerisation in the company’s catalyst r&d group, and managed the technical side of catalyst scale-up.
