The Gemue 651 piston operated 2/2-way diaphragm valve is designed for use in sterile applications. It is available in an "open/closed" or "position control" version. The device can be mounted, automatically programmed and commissioned in a very short time, both when it is used as a position control valve and within a process control system.
The valve is suitable for inert and corrosive liquid and gaseous media, and thanks to its compact design it can be used in very restricted spaces.
The valve design was developed taking into account the guidelines and recommendations of FDA, EHEDG and GMP. It has CIP capabability, making additional mountings such as electrical position indicators or pilot valves superfluous. An analogue travel sensor continuously detects the valve position, evaluated by a microprocessor. This ensures simple, quick and automatic commissioning of the valve, e.g. after a diaphragm change. It also monitors the electronic and pneumatic parameters, detects errors and gives a valve position feedback.
The new Gemue 1434 µPos electro-pneumatic positioner was specially developed for small and medium size single acting globe and diaphragm valves. It takes only two minutes to mount, programme and commission, and has unusually small dimensions (42x42x95mm) enabling control valves to be installed in very restricted spaces.
Whenever automated valves are required but no compressed air is available, the new Gemue SideStep motorised actuator is the ideal solution for all applications in industrial and sterile processes, the company says. The actuator is designed for use in process engineering and for operating media supply and can be mounted to metal globe valves as well as plastic and metal diaphragm valves. A basic version for "open/closed" operation and a high-end version with an integrated position/process control module (PID) are available.
The stable, impact resistant plastic housing has a smooth, easy-to-clean surface and is splash proof and dust proof IP 65. A display with good visibility, background light and ergonomically designed buttons enable safe on-site operation. A code prevents unauthorised or accidental operation. The display menu guidance and external programming are simple and logical enabling easy operation despite its multifunctional usability.
The actuator is designed for continuous operation and also has optical position indication with good visibility independent of the electronic system.
